Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP):
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) helps households cover heating costs during the winter season. If eligible, you may receive financial support to pay for propane deliveries.
How it works:
Apply through your local energy assistance office.
Approval is based on household income and family size.
Once approved, funds are applied directly to your account to help with heating expenses.
If qualified heating equipment tune ups are available.
If your system goes down during the winter, see if you qualify for a new install
Types of Assistance:
Level 1 – A cash supplement ($100–$1,000) is applied to your account to cover past balances or future deliveries after other aid is used.
Level 2 – You and Center State Propane are notified of the approved amount, which is credited to your account and used for deliveries until the funds run out.
Level 3 (Crisis) – Starting in January, additional monthly funds may be available for households in urgent need until state funding is gone.
